1986 Honda CR250 Restoration
This is a 1986 Honda CR250 that I rebuilt. It was in much better situation than the 1988 CR250 that I rebuilt. Right here is a partial checklist of what I did: -sandblasted the frame and powered coated -new “present day era” footpegs -new h2o pump cover -split cases replaced all bearing and seals, replaced rings -new plastics -new air filter -all new decals -new grips -new levers -lots of new hardware -rebuilt and rejetted the carb -suspension all rebuilt and set up for my bodyweight. Front and rear suspension have Race Tech “Gold Valve” kits in them. -greased the front finish bearings -new wheel bearings -all new suspension linkage bearings -new fork boots -new swingarm sliders and guides -new chain rollers -Boyeson Ignition Cover I spent way more rebuilding the bike than what it is “worthy of” but is was every each and every cent and every single instant I took to provide this bike back again from the it is former sad state. A very enjoyable experience. I should give credit score to Dave about at the Motocenter in Tempe, AZ 480-642-6686. www.motocenteraz.com He did the suspension and engine rebuilding. Dave ought to alter his identify to Mr. CR250 after all the time he invested on this bike.

Excellent job! I have an 85 cr250 I’m in the process of fixing up. Currently the out of production cdi box is my biggest headache!
what a beauty! good for you, keeping a legend motocross bike alive! I love the attention to detail. What have you since done with it?
if you don’t mind me asking how much did it roughly cost to restore as i would like to restore a 86 model
myself
@arizonamotocross well even when that bike is unrestored at the beginning of the video it is still in a lot better shape than mine was when i picked it up..mine came “assembly required” , rear tire with not too much tread left, crappy air filter, blown top end, quad handlebars on it, the air caps on the forks were busted, and the rear shock was blown, clutch didnt work, kickstarter was stripped, not too mention a bent lip on a small section of the front rim but my resto will be dont this year lol
